Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by BookMe Direct to explain how we handle information when hosts use our service and when guests submit enquiries through a host's property page. It is not a legal certification.

What we collect

• Host account data: email address, name, password hash, and authentication identifiers from Google if you sign in with Google.
• Property data: listing name, location, description, photos, nightly rate, and the iCal URL you provide to import availability.
• Guest enquiry data: name, email, dates of interest, party size, and message content submitted via a property page.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor. We store a customer reference and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers.
• Basic logs: request metadata used to detect abuse and keep the service running.

How we use information

• To operate the property pages and enquiry forms hosts create.
• To send transactional email (enquiry notifications, account email).
• To process subscription payments and provide support.
• To prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorised access.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to host the service, store data, process payments, deliver email, and handle authentication. These providers only process data on our instructions and for the purpose of running BookMe Direct.

Cookies

We use cookies and local storage strictly to keep hosts signed in and to remember UI preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Retention and deletion

Host accounts and property data are kept while the account is active. Hosts can delete a property at any time from the dashboard. To delete your account and associated data, contact support and we will action the request.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls that limit reads and writes to the relevant host's account. Property photos live in a private storage bucket and are served via short-lived signed URLs.

Changes

We may update this page as the product evolves. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage or by email to active hosts.
